The ultra-conservative Turning Point Action Conference and a speech from Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene are not a likely nor ideal pairing for someone trying to create a pro-Biden ad, but that's exactly the combination that lead to the viral clip which has Democrats online imploring Biden’s campaign to use the Congresswoman’s words against her.
While delivering a speech yesterday at the Turning Point Action Conference, Greene’s regular ranting and raving routine moved away from general GOP grievance to the Congresswoman’s personal problems with President Biden.
Greene’s intention was clearly to criticize the President, but when your party takes pride in cutting Medicare, killing student loan forgiveness, and criminalizing librarians, your criticisms often sound more like compliments.
Greene warned the attendees of the conference that President Biden wants to “address” issues such as “education, medical care, urban problems, rural poverty.”
“When does she start criticizing him?” you might ask. Well, she thinks she is.
Marjorie Taylor Greene then compared Biden to previous Democratic presidents, Lyndon B. Johnson and FDR, who Presidential scholars rank as the 8th and 1st best Presidents ever.
She continued her comparisons by condemning Lydon B. Johnson’s “socialist programs” meant to “address education, medical care, urban problems, rural poverty, transportation, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps and welfare, the Office of Economic Opportunity and big labor and labor unions.”
How are those things bad? A similarly puzzling question would be “How was this woman ever elected to Congress?” Neither of which we will likely be able to answer.
The speech really ramps up when Greene begins the “bashing” of Build Back Better.
She correctly calls Biden’s agenda “The largest public investment in social infrastructure and environmental programs. That is actually finishing what FDR started, that LBJ expanded on.”
We once again ask, while pulling our hair out, “HOW IS ANY OF THIS BAD?” Well, it’s not, but Marjorie Taylor Greene certainly is at trying to criticize President Biden.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see this clip of Marjorie Taylor Greene on TV ending with the words “I’m Joe Biden and I approve this message.” The President faces constant criticism from the right, so it’s nice that Greene’s incompetency has made for quite the nice compliment.
Is she really just that dumb.
Wow! If she thinks that part of her speech was a hit job on Joe Biden, she literally took a big swing and MISSED! I’m sure Biden’s campaign will use this to their advantage and benefit!
And yes, MTG is really this stupid and it will certainly backfire on her. BIGLY!
